During havan, you have seen a pack of 9 sticks . So these 9 sticks are basically called Navagraha Samdiha (नवग्रह समिधा) and it contains 9 sticks for each and every planet and are offered to agni kund upon the chant od Navagraha mantra.

- बृहस्पति: Use peepal samidha For Jupiter.
- शुक्र: Use Audumbar (sycamore) compound for Venus.

- So first take out the #1 Aak stick from the bundle for Planet Sun and chant ॐ ह्रां ह्रीं ह्रौं सः सूर्याय नमः ॥ Swaaha! and then gently put it in the Havan Kund.
- Now take out the #2 Palash stick for Planet Moon and chant ॐ श्रां श्रीं श्रौं सः चंद्राय नमः ॥ Swaaha! and then gently put the Palash stick in the Havan Kund.
- Next take out the #3 Khair stick for Planet Mars and chant ॐ क्रां क्रीं क्रौं सः भौमाय नमः ॥ Swaaha! and then gently put the Khair stick in the Havan Kund.
- Continue until you put all sticks in the Havan Kund.
